Aedan Gleeson

Aedan is the president and founder of Gleeson Powers, Incorporated (GPI). Since forming Gleeson Powers in 1992, Aedan has become a leader in the firestopping industry. As the Firestop Contractors International Association's (FCIA) first President and Charter member, Aedan has been a key contributor to growing this organization to 225 members, and currenlty serves as the association's Accreditation Chair. Selected for the exclusive 2009 FCIA Award in Excellence, Aedan continues to be a driving force within the industry. Aedan is often called upon to give presentations on firestopping to various architects, owners, general contractors and industry manufacturer groups. Aedan started in the US construction market when coming to the U.S. from Dublin in 1990. Under his direction, GPI has become the first firestopping contractor in the country to become an Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) Qualified Firestop Contractor. Aedan has obtained Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for both FM 4991 and UL Qualified Firestop Contactor programs.

Dana Arsenault

Dana has been with Gleeson Powers for over 10 years as their chief project manager and estimator. Dana is an expert in the firestopping industry and also has extensive experience in the waterproofing and air barrier industries. He currently manages sales, estimating, and project management for all commercial and industrial projects at Gleeson Powers. Dana was instrumental in the development of the Life Safety Tracker System® . Dana has obtained Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for both FM 4991 and UL Qualified Firestop Contractor programs.

Augustus Mancini

Gus has been with Gleeson Powers for 4 years. He currently serves the role of lead project manager for healthcare facilities. Gus handles all phases of a project for GPI, including the bid estimate, project planning, team assembly, completion of work, and commissioning. Gus was a driving force in the development of our customized barrier management database, The Life Safety Tracker System® . Gus has become an expert in utilizing the Life Safety Tracker System® to assist hospitals in meeting the requirements of the Joint Commission and the CMS. Some recent projects that Gus has managed on behalf of GPI include: Children's Hospital Boston, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and The VA Hospitals of West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain. Gus has obtained his Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for both FM 4991 Approval and UL Qualified Firestop Contractor programs. Prior to joining GPI, Gus studied at Rochester Institute of Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering.

Jay Mack

Jay joined Gleeson Powers in April 2010 as Area Vice President for the Mid Atlanic region. Jay has been in the firestopping and mechanical insulation business for over 10 years. He gained his experience in the field as project manager, and then as a Branch Manager. As a Branch Manager of the Mid Atlantic territory, Jay was responsible for estimating, project management and sales. Jay has obtained Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) status for UL Qualified Firestop Contractor program. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. His areas of expertise include both healthcare and commercial construction of new and exisiting project.

Jeff Comeau

Jeff joined Gleeson Powers in September 2009, and recently moved into the role of project estimator for upcoming projects involving firestopping, waterproofing, air barriers, and joint sealants. Prior to estimating, Jeff was a firestopping surveyor at GPI. In this role, he gained extensive experience with Gleeson Powers' barrier management database, the Life Safety Tracker System®, as well as the survey-to-remediation process. Before joining Gleeson Powers, Jeff was studying at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Karl Taub

Karl has been with Gleeson Powers since 2008 as lead firestopping surveyor, directing the day-to-day operations of Gleeson Powers' survey teams. Karl has worked toward refining and optimizing the on-the-ground efficiency of the barrier management survey process during its initial implementation. He also coordinates the use of the Life Safety Tracker System® by Gleeson Powers' firestopping remediation crews to expedite the survey-to-remediation process. Prior to joining GPI, Karl was a Research Engineer for a worldwide manufacturer of fire protection products, where he was responsible for product formulation, design of application equipment, and in-house and independent laboratory approvals testing of fireproofing and firestopping products.

Mary Strachan

Mary joined Gleeson Powers in March 2010 as a firestopping surveyor. She is working with the Life Safety Tracker System® on a daily basis. Before joining GPI, Mary worked for 8 years as a firestopping installer. She also has experience as a draftsman and has owned small businesses.

Aideen Gleeson

Aideen serves as the Director of Business Planning & Development at Gleeson Powers, where she oversees business operations. With a background in program assessment and strategic planning, she works to integrate long term strategic planning with day to day business operations. In addition, she is charged with organizing GPI's educational seminars and marketing initiatives. Prior to returning full-time to Gleeson Powers, Aideen was a Senior Research Analyst at Boston College in the Office of Institutional Research, Planning & Assessment. Aideen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Saint Anselm College as well as a Master's degree in Sociology from Boston College.
